A: Yes, they need a certificate inspection every two years.

A: An initial certificate inspection with no further required inspections.
7Q: How often should a lined hot-water heaters exceeding heat input of 200,000 BTU/hour, water temperature of 210 degrees F, and/or nominal water-containing capacity of 120-gallons be inspected?
A: An initial certificate inspection should be completed.
